That makes Tyrus a double TV champ.

From one set to another, Tyrus will challenge for the NWA title when he faces NWA champion Trevor Murdoch and Matt Cardona in a triple-threat main event at NWA Hard Times 3 via FITE TV on Saturday at the Frederick J. Sigur Civic Center in Chalmette, Louisiana.

That’s not all.

Greg Gutfeld Exclusive Q&A on Tyrus

Greg Gutfeld of “Gutfeld!” on FOX News channel via email through FOX News PR.

JV: What did you think of Tyrus when you first ever met him?

GG: “That he be the biggest person I’ve ever seen in my life. I mean, it’s kinda hard to believe that we’re both part of the same species. I’m a tiny stalk of flesh, and he’s Space Mountain. [insert Ric Flair ‘Woooo’]”

JV: What does he add to the show?

GG: “The show operates on the unpredictable, and you never know what Tyrus is going to say, but he has this odd power of saying exactly what you believe you were thinking at that time. It’s very weird. He causes people to reverse engineer their own thoughts. They didn’t think what he said, but when he says it, they believe they thought it too!”

NWA TV champ Tyrus is a regular on “Gutfeld!,” the No.1 late night talk show on television (broadcast or cable).

JV: Do you think he could run for political office in the future?

GG: “I believe he can do just about anything he wants, except fit into one of my running shorts. He resonates with the American public unlike anyone I’ve ever met. If he wanted to be President, he could do it.”

JV: Has he ever let you hold his championship belt?

GG: “Yes, he handed it to me, after I made some joke that I cant remember, but I only held it briefly because it was heavier than most appliances.”

Gutfeld! No.1

Since August, FOX News Channel’s Gutfeld! has been the highest-rated program in all of late-night television in total viewers (cable and broadcasts), averaging 2,145,000 viewers, 344,000 in A25-54 and 203,000 in A25-54, according to Nielsen Media Research.

Gutfeld! is the first program to top CBS’ The Late Show with Stephen Colbert for a full month in more than five years (January 2017). Host Greg Gutfeld also outpaces ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live! in A25-54 and beats all cable late night programs across the board in total viewers, A25-54 and A18-49.

And it’s not just conservatives tuning in - according to data from Nielsen MRI Fusion, Gutfeld! has more Democrats, Republicans and Independents watching his program than tuning in than the competition.

Additionally, since launch in April 2021, Gutfeld! has increased his share of the late-night audience to nearly 30%. In 2021, Gutfeld! held 26 percent of the late-night audience and today the programs holds 29%. Jimmy Kimmel Live! decreased from 22 to 21 percent while The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon slid from 22 percent to 20 percent.

In cable news, Gutfeld! beats his competition at 11PM as well as every other program on CNN and MSNBC across the board. In fact, Gutfeld tops every CNN and MSNBC program COMBINED in total viewers, A25-54 and A18-49. Gutfeld! is also the highest-rated program in all of cable at 11PM/ET in total viewers. Additionally, Gutfeld! has the most upscale audience in all of late night (broadcast and cable) and the highest median income in the A25-54 audience.

Earlier this year, FOX News Media debuted Gutfeld’s brand new state-of-the-art studio with a larger area for a live audience and he is the first late night host to take his show on the road beyond the coasts, airing his program from Nashville and Dallas last year.

Following the success of his Saturday program, FOX News Media CEO Suzanne Scott launched Gutfeld! last April with the goal of further solidifying Greg’s place among the late-night television stars and offering a different point of view to the late-night audience. His entry came 25 years following FOX News Channel’s foray to the cable news space after its founders identified a gap in the marketplace and the opportunity to reach a wide audience.

Gutfeld!’s entrance painted a similar picture – new kid on the block enters the scene to questions of whether it will succeed in media… and succeed it has. Just over one year later – host Greg Gutfeld has defied the odds, proved the critics wrong to become one of late-night television’s most-watched hosts (also fastest growing).

About The NWA

Founded in 1948, the National Wrestling Alliance is one of the oldest and most prestigious professional wrestling brands in the world. In 2017, international recording artist William Patrick Corgan (Smashing Pumpkins) purchased the NWA with the intention of reinventing the brand for the modern era whilst honoring the legacy of its heyday in the 1980s.

Beginning with the critically-acclaimed Ten Pounds Of Gold docu-series, the NWA has since expanded its programming to include two weekly broadcasts (NWA Powerrr & NWA USA) and 6 annual pay-per-views, all of which are available via NWA All Access, our paid subscription service on Triller’s FITE streaming platform. Replays of NWA Powerrr and premieres of NWA USA are also available on the NWA YouTube channel.
